Latino Enhancement Cooperative-LEC
The Latino Enhancement Cooperative has two programs that they participate in every year and help contribute to them as well. These programs are Fiesta del Otoño and the Indiana Latino Leadership Conference (ILLC). During Fiesta del Otoño the communities of both Bloomington and IU come out to embrace and celebrate the Hispanic culture through this event that is social as well as educational. This event is held annually during the Hispanic heritage month and everyone is welcomed to celebrate diversity that is present throughout the community. The second program, ILLC, was established to provide a venue that celebrates the uniqueness of Latino students in a forum by and for students. This forum seeks to cultivate the exchange of ideas, values, and beliefs in order to promote scholarship, leadership, cultural awareness and community.
